Jeff Bezos reportedly scooped up a $125 million mansion in Florida’s exclusive “Billionaire Bunker” island – two months after buying the home next door for $107 million.

The Amazon founder and the world’s third-richest person – with a net worth of $247 billion, according to Bloomberg – purchased the seven-bedroom, 14-bathroom abode on Thursday, according to a listing on Zillow.

He scored a 7.1 per cent discount from the property’s May listing price of $134 million, according to Bloomberg, which first reported on the sale, citing people familiar with the matter.

Built in 2000, the 1771sq m home is set on 1.84 acres on the man-made barrier isle Indian Creek Island, a fortress that lies on the outskirts of Biscayne Bay, and boasts its own municipality, mayor, and police force.

It has a pool, theatre, library, wine cellar, maids’ quarters, sauna, and six garage spaces, according to the Zillow listing.

The Douglas Elliman agents who helped Bezos close on the home, Dina Goldentayer and Danilo Tavares, declined The New York Post’s request for comment.

Located at 12 Indian Creek Island Road, the sprawling estate neighbours the $107 million, three-bedroom, three-bathroom crib Bezos bought in August in an off-market deal – just one month after the 59-year-old proposed to his longtime flame Lauren Sanchez with a colossal diamond worth a reported $4 million.

Bezos reportedly has plans to bulldoze the $107 million pad and build a palatial megamansion. It wasn’t immediately clear if he also has plans to tear down his latest eight-figure enclave.

Indian Creek has about 40 waterfront properties all facing the water, along with an 18-hole golf course stretched across 294 acres.

There are also Brazilian teak docks where 30-plus-metre luxury vessels are moored – perfect for his $500 million superyacht Koru, which features a helicopter landing pad, swimming pool, and a mermaid resembling Sanchez adorning the prow.

According to the 2021 census, the population of the island was just 81.

Other homeowners on the island include Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kuschner, and billionaire car dealer and former owner of the Philadelphia Eagles Norman Braman.

Representatives for Bezos at Amazon did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Bezos’ latest purchase makes his Indian Creek footprint worth a staggering $261 million, which is among the most valuable real estate in the billionaire’s lavish portfolio.

He also accumulated a 5.3-acre property in the affluent Medina, Washington, neighbourhood – which is located less than 10 miles from Amazon’s Seattle headquarters – after purchasing two homes in 1998 and 2005, for which he paid a combined $150 million.

Bezos then overhauled the two lots, merging them to build his primary residence complete with a 2300sq m Tudor-style mansion, a second house that reportedly functions entirely as Bezos’ office, indoor and outdoor pools, and waterfront access to Lake Washington.

Further south in Beverly Hills, Bezos purchased a $261 million mansion from billionaire producer David Geffen in a record-shattering deal just before the pandemic.

The eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate contains a koi pond, a European garden, a lagoon-like pool and spa, waterfalls, a tennis court, a tree-lined cobblestone driveway, and a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace.

Bezos also owns a 30,000-acre ranch in West Texas, which is near the base of Blue Origin, the private space company he founded, as well as a $152 million Fifth Avenue apartment that occupies the entire 21st through 24th floors of a building overlooking Madison Square Park.

Bezos’ latest Miami-area purchases mark a type of homecoming for the mogul, who graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 1982.
