A Brisbane buyers agent has revealed what $700,000 will got a ‘lucky’ buyer in the River City, and it features some hilarious takes on the home’s many shortcomings.

The home which went viral when it hit the market for offers’ over $699,999 with a backyard full of junk and the inside not much better, has sold to a local for $700,000.

“This is what $700,000 buys you in Brisbane and the lucky purchaser got the whole lot,” De Novo Buyers Agency founder and director Jayke Cuschieri said in a recent Instagram video.

“The lawnmower I was leaning on, the abacus through the sheeting near the front door and your choice of several washing machines from the back or front yard.”

But despite its many flaws, Jayke said he too missed out on the house.

“I was actually interested in buying it,” he said, adding it was opposite a train line. “But I was in Thailand at the time so missed out.”

“I think it has way more potential and could be a cute house but they (the new owners) have a lot of work to do.”

The house sold to a local buyer who plans to renovate the eyesore.

There were added prizes to be found scattered across the lawn

Located in Mitchelton, the property was sold “as is, where is” by Denovans Real Estate on February 1.

And the listing photos show the unmatched bespoke features both inside and out.

At the time of the sale, marketing agent Rob Missenden of Denovans Real Estate said he had received “more offers than I could count” for the home.

“The most amount of interest has been from flippers and people wanting to renovate,” Mr Missenden said.

“At the end of the day, real estate has a floor in land value. You’re buying 412 sqm of land. Who cares about the house? People have fixed up worse and knocked over better.”
