Demi Moore’s surprise life change before Golden Globes triumph
Demi Moore’s Golden Globes win and attention-grabbing speech have shone a spotlight on her unexpected lifestyle.
Demi Moore’s lifestyle away from the glamour of Hollywood over recent years has come under the spotlight following her recent Golden Globe win and viral acceptance speech that got her a standing ovation at the awards ceremony.
The veteran actor walked away with the award for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her role in film The Substance.
Moore’s Golden Globe’s acceptance speech brought many in the audience to tears, with the actor, 61, speaking about the “low points” that have come from 45 years in the cutthroat film industry.

Moore has shown glimpses of her private life that’s now far from the glitz of Los Angeles through her New York Times best selling memoir Inside Out and on social media.
After splitting from her actor husband Bruce Willis in 1998, Moore purchased a sprawling Idaho property to raise her three children in the year 2000.
Despite the couples split, Willis and his new wife will often stay with Moore at her sprawling Idaho estate, as well as with their three daughters and respective partners and grandchild.
Images of the property she has shared online show green manicured lawn on acres of land, as well as some impressive features such as a cement bridge built over a serene river that goes through the property.
Despite being one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and a household name for starring in films such as ‘Ghost,’ ‘A Few Good Men,’ and ‘Indecent Proposal,’ Moore revealed her Golden Globe win was the first time she had ever been awarded for her acting, including by the Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association.
“Thirty years ago I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actor … that I could do movies that were successful, that made a lot of money, but that I couldn’t be acknowledged. And I bought in, and I believed that, and that corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete.”
Before transitioning her life to spend more time in Idaho, Moore had owned a New York penthouse in the landmark Emery Roth-designed building San Remo, at 145-146 Central Park West, between 74th and 75th streets, as reported in the The New York Times.
She finished her speech with the parting wisdom, “and I’ll just leave you with one thing that I think this movie is imparting in those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough, or basically just not enough. I had a woman say to me, just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.”
