A Sydney terrace with a garden that requires no fear of heights and a suspension system is on the market.
A Sydney terrace has a unique garden embedded into the rooftop.
The renovated terrace, at 43 Womerah Ave in Darlinghurst, is on the market with the garden described as “unique” to the inner west.
Agent Darren Pearce, from BresicWhitney, said the current owners decided to create the garden.
“They wanted to make it more environmentally friendly,” he said.

Mr Pearce said potential buyers were loving the garden during open home inspections.
“It’s nice to have a bit of an extravagance,” he said.
“There’s a water reticulation system up there and they have a gardener who comes to take the weeds out and needs to be suspended on the roof.”
He said the garden was full of natives and only needed to be weeded/maintained every six months.
“It’s nice as you don’t often have gardens in terraces,” he said.
While the garden is on the rooftop of the four bedroom two bathroom terrace, it can be seen from the attic conversion.

Mr Pearce said the terrace had been popular during its marketing campaign, due to its size and location, and had a price guide is $2.8m.
“With recent renovations seamlessly blending the old and new elements, the roof and vertical green walls are watered through an automated irrigation system, while the kitchen blurs indoor/outdoor lines, opening to a courtyard beneath a leafy tree canopy,” the listing states.
Other features include separate study, living, dining amd family spaces, high ceilings, three working fireplaces and Concertina doors.
There’s also a wrap-around courtyard and marble kitchen.
According to PropTrack data, the median house price in Darlinghurst over the past 12 months is $2.26m with a growtrh rate of 10.6 per cent.
