Christina Haack’s $7m home back on the market after ex Josh Hall tried to block sale

Reality TV star Christina Haack appears to have won at least one battle in her bitter divorce war against estranged husband Josh Hall.

It looks like Christina Haack is finally finishing the chapter on her relationship with Josh Hall. This week, Haack posted on her Instagram story about being nearly finished removing a tattoo on her ring finger, ink she got a month after her 2021 marriage to Hall.

As of this week, Hall has also been notably removed from the “Christina in the Country” opening. Where the show used to begin with a shot of Hall and Haack riding ATVs, it’s been replaced with a shot of Haack holding a chicken.

But in the Season 2 episode “Modernizing Memories,” it seems Hall is still trying to keep his relationship intact. In one scene, he makes Haack breakfast and suggests taking “family pictures” wearing American flag hats. Haack seems to be uninterested in Hall’s efforts, shooting down the idea of photos and stiffly noting that he never makes her breakfast in California.

“You do you,” Haack tells her husband before leaving the room.

It comes as the reality TV star put her $US4.5 million ($A6.9 million) Tennessee farmhouse back on the market, just weeks after he attempted to have a court block her from selling it.

Haack, 41, first listed the property back in October — only to take it off the market three weeks later when it was revealed that Hall, 44, had filed a temporary emergency order to try to halt the sale of the home, which is known as Parker Branch.

In the order, Hall — who was living in the Franklin, Tennessee, house when it was listed — claimed the property was put up for sale without his consent, despite him offering Haack a global settlement, which she turned down.

Although Haack bought the home before she and Josh were married, he claimed in legal documents that the “paydown of the mortgage during marriage” entitled him to a say in what happened to the property.

According to Realtor, the six-bedroom abode is back on the market, with the same asking price of $4.5 million — and listed with the same agent, Haack’s good friend, Kelly Dougherty.

The home’s return to the market marks another twist in the bitter war between Haack and Hall, who announced in July that they were divorcing after less than three years of marriage.

As part of a temporary settlement that was put in place in September, Hall was granted full use of the Tennessee property, provided he did not rent it out to anyone else, while Haack took full control of their $US12 million ($A18.5 million) Newport Beach, California home, which they purchased together.

However, that didn’t stop Haack from opting to try and find a buyer for the property, prompting outrage from her estranged spouse, who claimed he had been forced to relocate to another dwelling in Tennessee as a result of the home’s listing.

He claimed in court documents that the move had increased his living expenses, alleging that he was “suffering prejudice” as a result of Haack’s decision to try and sell her home.

“The community maintains an appreciation interest due to the paydown of the mortgage during marriage,” he wrote. “A premature sale may result in prejudice to me as property values continue to rise in Tennessee, which continues to grow in population.

“My relocation to Tennessee was significantly influenced by our aforementioned Stipulation allowing me to enjoy this property throughout our separation. I will now suffer prejudice because my living expenses will undoubtedly increase.”

He filed his temporary emergency order just days after the home was listed October 5 — and the property was taken off the market exactly three weeks later, although it is unclear whether Haack was ordered by a judge to remove the listing or if she made the decision of her own accord.

The couple were supposed to star in HGTV’s new series alongside Haack’s first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his new wife Heather Rae El Moussa of Selling Sunset fame.

“We only filmed together a few times and it was not fun, to be honest. I did not enjoy filming with him. Having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way,” Haack said recently.

“When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything.

“I feel like I was not shining as bright to try to not make him feel emasculated.”

Haack said Hall had also been battling “jealousy over Tarek,” who became household names together as the married stars of HGTV’s Flip or Flop series.

But Haack appears to be putting the ordeal behind her, taking to Instagram to show off her much-needed getaway, simply saying “Scorpio season was good to me,” which left fans weighing in on her ugly split with ex Hall.

“You deserve this … considering everything you’ve been thru!! (sic) crushing it!” one follower said.

“Stay single for a while. Your new show is amazing,” said another.

The home at the centre of this latest legal tussle between the estranged spouses, which they had been leasing to short-term rental clients, certainly has plenty of amenities to “enjoy,” including a pool, hot tub, screened porch, and wood-burning fireplace.

The 483 sqm home on 23.82 acres is once again described as a “fabulous modern farmhouse” in its listing.

When Haack originally listed the home, she took the opportunity to make a furious jab at her ex, mocking him for changing his Instagram bio location to Leiper’s Fork, where the property is located.

“I guess ‘Leipers Fork’ is gonna have to come off the bio soon. Time to go back to reality,” she began her post.

She then went on to accuse Hall of attempting to “steal” from her and her children, writing: “Remember when you said you would never steal from me or my kids and you would just be happy in a van with your dog. I guess plans changed.

“All about trying to take everything you can … With your mind on my money and my money on your mind …”

She then followed up with another statement in which she doubled down: “And yes this is ‘stealing’ from me and my family. Asking for an obscene amount of $$ from me for a short-term marriage is factual.”

It’s unclear whether Haack’s decision to relist her Tennessee property — which she purchased for $US2.5 million in 2021, one year before she wed Josh — will affect the temporary settlement regarding the couple’s shared properties.
