Cashback lure for buyers

WHAT would you do with a $7000 cashback incentive to buy and build?

WHAT would you do with a $7000 cashback incentive to buy and build?

Satterley Property Group chief executive Nigel Satterley is offering just that with his new Build Now Choose More campaign, launched in Western Australia on the weekend.

Teaming up with 20 builders, Mr Satterley is offering the $7000 to 600 families who choose to buy at one of nine participating estates.

Will they upgrade the kitchen? Extend the al fresco area? Use the money towards progress payments or take if off the full purchase price of the home? These are some of the tantalising options, so we wanted to know: what would eagle-eyed Mr Satterley do if he were starting out?

"Choose how to spend your money, choose your builder, choose your home and choose your lifestyle,'' the chief executive said.

"Home buyers know better than I do how they want their new home to look and feel and this $7000 cash-back promotion respects that.''

"If it were me I would spend the $7000 towards upgrading the alfresco area and landscaping and reticulating the rear gardens so my outdoor area is ideal for entertaining,'' Mr Satterley said.

Once the planning process is complete, the $7000 cash-back bonus payment will be paid to the buyer's chosen builder at the time of slab down.

Satterley will also provide front landscaping, side and rear fencing and, at some participating estates, a $1500 Telstra Velocity Package.

Mr Satterley said those who bought now would be able to take advantage of potential capital growth as Perth's property cycle improved.

The median weekly rent of $450 is now more than a weekly mortgage repayment at Satterley's Austin Lakes, Dalyellup Beach and Provence estates.

The participating estates are: Austin Lakes in South Yunderup; Beaumaris Beach in Iluka; Brighton in Butler; Dalyellup Beach in Bunbury; Evermore Heights in Baldivis; Heron Park II in Harrisdale; Honeywood in Wandi; Provence in Busselton and Secret Harbour.
