Boat lover’s Nirvana goes on the line
The ultimate trophy home for boat lovers has just hit the market with a double figure price tag.
A cantilevered marvel of a house in Seaforth with a rare lease for a jetty, pontoon and deep berth until 2035 is being promoted at Sydney’s Boat Show in August.
The Anschau House on Seaforth Cres has been inspected by many trophy home buyers but so far not a single boat lover.
Nathan Tse, of The Agency, said the exclusive use facilities could accommodate a 50ft boat and it was rare to obtain a registered lease for more than three years.
He is promoting the Middle Harbour home with its 180 degree panoramas from almost every room to boat lovers at the upcoming show.

“It’s amazing that I have yet to show this property to a boatie especially when it has such valuable boat assets and secure lease,” he said.
The four-bedroom house was commissioned by Kevin Anschau of Lend Lease in the late 1980s and took five years to build.
Acclaimed architect Martyn Chapman designed the house placing it atop two giant BHP steel girders.
The brief was a home with sun, views, easy access from the street, privacy and waterfront.
Vendor Tora Adams and her husband, retired pilot Laurie Shears saw the property while kayaking.

They listed it for auction in April of this year with an asking price of $10m to $11m.
The home has the feel of a luxury penthouse with two levels, a northerly and heated tiled courtyard, retractable roof, near level street access and inclinator access from the house to the waterfront.
Features include a wet bar and barbecue, marble flooring, glass stackers from the living area to the terrace, a circular dining room with floor to ceiling views and double garaging.
