This palatial home in Sydney's Bellevue Hill could be yours for a cool $60 million
BONO and Will Smith have stayed there. And for a cool $60 million, one of Sydney's most palatial homes could be yours.
BONO and Will Smith have stayed there, Jay-Z and Kanye West have recorded a track there and Angelina Jolie's children enjoyed its gardens.
And for a cool $60 million, one of Sydney's most palatial homes could be yours.
Barford, the 5527sq m estate at 58 Victoria Rd, Bellevue Hill, is owned by millionaire property developer Ian Joye and his wife Maggie, and the jetsetting pair are looking to sell.
OR WHAT ABOUT THIS PENTHOUSE FOR JUST $30 MILLION?
"We've held Barford for over a quarter of a century and Maggie and I have no plans on leaving. If, however, an interested party wanted to put a bid of $60 million or more to us, we would of course be happy to evaluate it. We've certainly received bids in this ballpark in the past," Mr Joye said.
The stunning estate includes a seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom Georgian style mansion, a private detached three-bedroom cottage and two one-bedroom apartments on site. There is also a 20m heated pool, cinema, tennis court, gym, library, billiard room, a retractable roof, timber-panelled foyer, a custom made all-white marble kitchen as well as a second caterer's kitchen with a walk-in cool room.
If its $60 million price tag is achieved it will be a record for Australian real estate - a waterfront mansion in Perth sold for $57.5 million in 2009. Exclusive agent on the sale, Ryan Watsford of Ballard Property said the trophy home, which is actually on three titles, would be marketed specifically at Asian and Middle Eastern buyers.
