Royals quietly sell sometime Sydney beach pad
A waterfront pad beside one of Sydney’s most famous beaches, with links to the King of England has quietly sold for around $6m.
Lady Marina Dawson-Damer, the daughter of George Dawson-Damer, the 7th Earl of Portarlington, has quietly sold her Bronte bolthole.
A May 27 auction was scheduled for the Bayview St triplex apartment through Alexander Phillips and David Tyrrell at PPD Real Estate.
However, the sold sticker went up on the home on Monday, after just 12 days on market.

The sale price hasn’t been disclosed but the home was listed with a price guide of $5.575m.
“With the beach at the doorstep and ocean views that will never be built out, this architecturally designed residence holds a world-class position fronting the natural splendour of Bronte Park,” the listing read.
“Occupying the entire ground floor of a tightly held collection of only three, the house-like apartment has been designed to take full advantage of its breathtaking outlook with walls of glass bringing the outdoors in and a huge entertainer’s deck as a seamless extension of the living space.
“Streamlined minimalist interiors allow the vista to do the talking with an innovative design featuring two inter-connected pavilions defined by an internal courtyard with the front wing dedicated to living and entertaining and the rear with three large bedrooms including a master suite opening to a private terrace.”
It cost $3.575 million in 2008 from developers Richard Woods and Vikki McFadden.
According to PropTrack, the median unit price for Bronte is $1.56m, down 1.5 per cent over the last 12 months.
