Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall amend $3m plans for northern beaches home after objections
Jen Hawkins and husband Jake Wall have made changes to the grand plans for their $6.95m northern beaches home following complaints from neighbours.
Australian model Jennifer Hawkins and her husband Jake Wall have been forced to adjust grand plans they had for their new northern beaches oceanfront home.
The couple, who paid $6.95m last year for a time warp 1950s Whale Beach home once owned by Dame Joan Sutherland, received several complaints about their proposed plans.

Following a public consultation period of the $3m DA by the Northern Beaches Council last year, several neighbours raised objections the mature height of proposed plantings may jeopardise their views.
This has seen landscaper Michael Cooke, who was enlisted to design the gardens, opt to replace a number of trees with smaller ones to ensure the neighbours are not at risk of losing their prized ocean views.
Mr Cooke has proposed to use Grevillea ‘Moonlight’, Crimson bottlebrush and Coast Tea Tree instead of Grey myrtle, Christmas bush and Riberry trees that were mentioned in the initial application.

At 3300sqm, Hawkins and Wall’s Whale Beach property is the largest oceanfront estate on the northern beaches peninsula.
Their DA plans, which are yet to be approved by council, include the replacement of an overgrown tennis court with a half-sized basketball court, plus the construction of an infinity pool and four-car garage.
The home will have an internal lift connecting all three floors, as well as five bedrooms, multiple living spaces and a large kitchen.
Wall’s company J Group Projects, who built the couple’s previous two homes has been listed as the builder of the sprawling estate.
Last year Hawkins and Wall fetched the highest ever sale price on the northern beaches after they sold their Newport mansion dubbed Casa Paloma for $24.5m. It was purchased by Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes.
They spent the best part of three years building the luxury four-level compound on Pittwater that was designed by their go-to architect Koichi Takada who created their earlier home in North Curl Curl.
