Burnt out Western Sydney home seeks $750k resurrection
After being all but destroyed by a ‘seven-truck’ fire, plenty are eyeing off a new lease of life for this Western Sydney home.
It’s roof may be completely destroyed and the inside unsafe to enter, yet this Western Sydney property has developers and owner-occupiers seeing opportunities to make a profit.
The 323 sqm property at 1 Samuel St, Wiley Park was damaged by a fire earlier this year.
A media release published by the NSW Fire and Rescue reported seven fire trucks responded to multiple triple-0 calls reporting the two-storey home ablaze near Alice St just before 12.30pm on March 17.
It’s understood the owner was overseas when the house went up in flames.
“The fire is thought to have started in the kitchen and spread to the roof, The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined,” the statement said at the time of the fire.
Previously, the property consisted of four bedrooms and was spread across two levels.
The damage caused by the fire has significantly diminished its size, leaving it with a single-storey one bedroom and one bathroom dwelling.

Listed via Ralph First Real Estate’s Marc Dissinger with a $750,000 guide, the property will head to auction on the 15th July.
The listing suggests the $750,000 comes from the property’s land value, offering the 322 sqm block of land with a 10.24m frontage.
It’s zoned R3 for a medium density residential home.
“If you are looking to build your dream home and only after a low maintenance lifestyle block of land, then look no further!,” the listing said.
Mr Dissinger did not respond to requests for comment prior to publication.
Over the past year, median house prices in Wiley Park have dropped by 3.5 per cent – with the average home costing $1.013m, according to PropTrack.
