Townsville’s most expensive listings

Townsville homebuyers are paying up to $500,000 less on average than their southeast Queensland counterparts but at the top end of the market the gap is much wider.

Townsville homebuyers are paying up to $500,000 less on average than their southeast Queensland counterparts but at the top end of the market the gap is much wider.

The latest data from PropTrack shows the median house price in Townsville is sitting at $507,000, up 20.7 per cent in the past year.

In comparison, the average cost of a house in Brisbane is $972,000 after a 10.6 per cent increase in 2024.

Even more eye-watering, the median price for a Gold Coast house is $1.185m while on Sunshine Coast it is $1.065m.

The most expensive house listing in Queensland is ‘Bellagio La Villa’, a 17.92ha estate with mansion for sale for $49m at 49-109 Tallebudgera Connection Road, Tallebudgera,

In number two spot with a listing price of $35m is the opulent waterfront mansion with beach at 29 Cooran Ct, Noosa Head, while ‘Villa Vittoria’, spread across five blocks at 226-32 Knightsbridge Pde East, Sovereign Islands, is in third place with a reported $31m price tag.

In Townsville, the prestige properties are a little less ostentatious but a lot more affordable, relatively speaking.

Here are the 10 most expensive homes currently listed for sale in Townsville.
