The property was listed by real estate agent Ben Martelli of Michaels Real Estate as having “all the comforts of a home surrounded with vegetation”.

In fact, so few properties come up for sale in Kensington that it doesn’t even qualify for an official median suburb price, with the last “recent” unit sale being in 2017 for $35,000.

There are two beds in the unit – a “double and a single bed for visitors”.

“The annex has a gas stove and there is heaps of storage, separate toilet and carport,” was how Mr Martelli described the home.

Plus it “comes complete with almost everything you need to live in comfort, airconditioning, fridge, microwave and a large TV, and there is a shower adjacent to the double bed”.

The full listed price is $44,800 for the property which is an “established private permanent van”.

Located in Kensington in Bundaberg, approved buyers also have to pay $185 a week rent for the site, electricity and gas.

But there were a few perks, as “pensioners qualify to receive accommodation allowance making the expense of having a place to call home hard to better.”

The home is also in a park which has a large swimming pool and there is a shopping centre minutes away.
