Aussie swimmer and Olympic gold medallist Bronte Campbell has seen her Brisbane home of eight years go up for auction, with an opening bid of more than $1m.

Campbell’s four-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 26 Landsdowne St, Coorparoo, was listed in January, with a promise of a signed Olympic team shirt from the Tokyo Games to go to the next owner.

The listing went up with Place Bulimba agents Shannon Gordon and Mikaela Crone, after a previous campaign in November was pulled early.

“We switched to auction to create some urgency for buyers coming back into the market in the new year, and because we want to get Bronte sold ASAP,” Ms Gordon said.

The home went to auction on Friday morning, at Place’s “The Summer Day” – the first of the agency’s auction events for the year.

With an opening bid of $1.5 million, the home was then passed in for further negotiations between potential buyers.

The house has two levels, an open living plan and potential for a dual-living set-up.

Campbell had previously lived with her sister Cate in a Bowen Hills apartment.

Both sisters are Olympic swimmers, with the two having both held world records for the sport.

Bought in 2016, the dual-level home had been renovated prior to the auction. The house features an open living plan, shaded balconies and a large master bedroom, with potential to split the home between multiple residents.

Coorparoo was Brisbane’s most searched suburb of 2025, according to data from realestate.com.au. Campbell’s home is close to Coorparoo Square and the nearby Norman Creek, which leads into the Brisbane River.
