NRL legend Corey Parker’s home renovation has been crowned the hottest home in Australia this week.

The former Broncos star and his wife Margaux had bought the property for $2.05m in May 2023 – over a year and eight months ago – and proceeded to plan a major upgrade for the stunning classic Queenslander estate.

The home was the most viewed real estate listing on realestate.com.au this year, beating a multitude of amazing houses across the country.

Apart from revamping the internals and landscaping the property, the Parkers also applied for development approval in August last year for carports worth almost as much as a home in the regions at $259,972.

Their 400sq m build area for the garage work now sees the home as perfect for multi-generational living with several breakout living zones and amenities.

Nathan Strudwick of Elders Real Estate Shailer Park has had the home listed for less than two weeks with the home up for a private treaty sale.

“This home is why I love selling real estate in Daisy Hill. An exceptional renovation with no stone left unturned. Room for the entire family to spread out on a smaller acreage block. This property is one to behold.”

He describes it as the “commander in chief” in a dress circle part of Daisy Hill, backing onto John Paul Forest and Springwood Conservation – a coveted zone popular with mountain bikers, walkers, and hikers.

The Parker’s efforts on the home were described as “the highest standard”, with finishes including timber floors, gold fittings and fixtures, large open spaces, floor to ceiling glass and an envious master suite.

The property has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and multiple types of living, entertaining and chill-out spaces across the main residence, two sheds, a large garage that can take six vehicles plus toys, and its pool house with in-ground swimming pool.

It also has two purpose built custom BBQ areas with pizza oven, wraparound verandas and a sandstone fire pit area.

The home is close driving distance of about 30 minutes from all that both the Gold Coast and Brisbane have to offer, sitting almost halfway between both cities.
