Insta-famous hilltop mansion going under the hammer
An Insta-famous mansion is set for auction with a pool that’s partially glass overlooking a bespoke basketball court and views from Straddie to Coolangatta.
Reach out and you could almost touch the clouds from this ultra-luxe hilltop home, which boasts a pool that features on countless Insta accounts and a basketball half-court with one of the Gold Coast’s most breathtaking views.
Designed by architect Jared Poole, 337 Chesterfield Dr, Bonogin, is a glass-fronted four-bedroom home with views that extend from Stradbroke Island to Coolangatta.
The house was completed just four years ago after owner Brent Bell discovered the land and its potential in 2017.
“It was a deceased estate and when we looked at the block, I climbed one of the trees and realised it had this incredible view,” Mr Bell said.
“Everyone’s looking for that prized position to build their dream home, and the moment I saw that view, I said to my partner ‘This is it’.”

Every element of the home’s design is focused on harnessing that view, with the master suite, kitchen, living area, office and outdoor entertaining space all looking out over the Gold Coast below.
“It’s almost like the house floats in the air,” Mr Bell said.
“The views are ever-changing, it’s amazing to wake up to each day and at night you look out over thousands of glittering lights on the Gold Coast.”
That view and the home’s ultra-modern design has drawn the attention of influencers and video producers alike, with the property featuring in two music videos.
The street itself is also attracting celebrity attention, with Hollywood A-listers, models, and sporting stars all clamouring to call Chesterfield Dr their home.
“It’s become one of the most sought-after streets on the Gold Coast,” Mr Bell said.
“A lot of that’s down to the location which offers all these incredible views but is so close to everything.”
Designed as a family home, the property has no shortage of high-end features and luxe additions, including an in-ground trampoline, basketball half-court, a firepit, and a heated pool that transforms into a spa at the touch of a button.
The home’s layout and design make it ideal for entertaining, with the Bells hosting family, friends and the occasional party during their time living there.
The property also comes complete with eco-credentials including full solar and a Tesla charger.
In total the land encompasses 1.82ha, with more than 4000sq m of that cleared and the rest remaining bushland.
“It’s beautiful bush,” Mr Bell said.
“We’ve seen everything from koalas to kangaroos, echidnas and even a deer.”
But now, Mr Bell and his family are seeking a sea-change.
“It’s ultra-modern but there’s still a warmth and character to it that ensures it feels like a home,” Mr Bell said.
Conceding he would miss the exceptional view from his hilltop home, Mr Bell said it was a rare opportunity to secure a near-new home in an increasingly popular street.
“There’s views and then there’s views and this one’s even better than in the pictures,” he said.
The property is listed with Kollosche Broadbeach’s Brad Coyne and Taylor Kleinberg and goes to auction on July 19.
