A former professional footy player is offloading his epic home which was voted one of the top five beach houses in the world.
A former Aussie Rules player is looking to offload his epic home which was voted one of the top five beach houses in the world.
Located in the private 5ha estate Rocky Point overlooking Honeymoon Bay in Agnes Water, the property known as Alinghi Beach House was voted one of the top five beach houses in the world by the UK Independent.
Designed by architect James Grose, the luxurious pavilion-style residence owned by former Aussie Rules player and businessman Jeff Chapman appears to float above the ocean, with a large travertine platform anchoring both buildings and framed by shallow reflections pools.

It is listed for sale with Forbes Global Properties agents Deborah Cullen and Richard Royle.
“As part of Rocky Point estate, Alinghi shares a private beach at Honeymoon Bay, a 30m saltwater pool by the ocean, entertaining cabana with barbecue facilities, tennis court and a full-time caretaker on site,” the listing says.
The residence itself consists of two pavilions.
The main pavilion is home to large living spaces that open onto semi-enclosed areas, four large bedrooms, two with ensuites, and two upstairs bedrooms with a separate bathroom.
The second pavilion is a private retreat housing the master bedroom, ensuite and study or wellness space, with striking ocean views and framed with native landscaped gardens.
External materials and colours were specifically chosen to disappear over time, fading to a silver grey, to blend with the landscape,” the listing says.

Western red cedar clads the exterior of the house, selected for its hardy and low maintenance elements, to fade with exposure to the sun.
Other features include water tanks for self-sufficiency, and a clever design that allows for cross-ventilation rather than airconditioners.
Besides a few human neighbours, there are wallabies, echidnas, goannas, turtles, migratory whales and birds who call the area home.
“Purposely designed, Alinghi’s external lighting is all low voltage so as not to upset local wildlife, in particular nesting turtles who return to Rocky Point to breed,” the listing says.
The weekly rate for Alinghi is $7700, according to its website.
