The Seventeen Mile Rocks property has been listed to go under the hammer a week after the federal election, at 10am on Saturday May 10.

Ms Palaszczuk, who resigned as premier in December 2023, had bought the block in 2005 for $260,000 with the home built in 2006, according to property records.
The suburb’s median house price now sits at $1.075m after prices rose by 69.3 per cent in the past five years alone. Valuation estimates show the home could fetch anywhere from $1.39m to $1.77m and rent from between $826 to $1,100 a week.

Ms Palaszczuk took over the seat of Inala from her father Heinrich Palaszczuk after he retired in 2006. He was a minister in Queensland’s Beattie government,
Property records show that when the sale goes through, the ex premier will have one property remaining in Queensland, a one bedroom unit in Main Beach on the Gold Coast bought in June 2019 for $705,000.
A listing by Saeed Moghaddam of Brisbane Real Estate – Chapel Hill described her Seventeen Mile Rocks home that’s up for auction as being in a tightly held enclave with Ms Palaszczuk’s home sitting on a North facing 1,094sq m block.
It was said to have “a voluminous kitchen, open-plan living and dining, and an enormous entertainer’s balcony”.

The incoming owner would be only the second person to ever own the home which is close to St Aidan’s, Rocks Riverside Park and local shops.
“Insider’s secret … You’ll spot the lorikeets before you hear them, they love the tropical gardens out front,” the listing said. “And if you’re up early enough, you might even catch the mist rising over the ridge as you walk the trail to Riverside Park.”
