A Queensland billionaire is hoping it will be “second time lucky” on the auction block, as he tries to sell his luxurious mansion that’s worthy of mega richlisters and superstars.

The private 17.92-hectare estate called Bellagio La Villa is owned by Riyu Li, whose company Ridong was behind the creation of the luxurious $1billion Jewel triple towers on the Gold Coast.

Mr Li spared no expense on upgrades for the 10-bedroom mansion which has just about everything you can imagine on a billionaire’s wishlist, from its own ballroom complete with a bar and caterers’ kitchen, marble in each of the 11 bathrooms as well as several guest powder rooms, an indoor swimming pool, spa, gym, sauna, horse stables, a fruit orchard, multiple work sheds, a floating pontoon with boat, and sealed roads and paths to explore the estate.

Now Mr Li is hoping it will be “second time lucky” on the auction block for the property located at 49-109 Tallebudgera Connection Road, Tallebudgera.

The billionaire had bought the property a decade ago off Coral Homes founders Paul and Vicki Sweeney who’d hired renowned architect Michael Witty, garden landscaper Paul Bangay and interior designer Eleanor Davis to build the mansion.

Mr Li saw the property go at auction in February last year, but a transaction was not completed, with the property then languishing on the market for several months. He’s now decided to test the auction market again, picking a new sales team to find Bellagio La Villa’s next owner.

Real estate agent Lucy Cole from Lucy Cole Prestige Property and auctioneer Justin Nickerson from Apollo Auctions will sell the mansion via auction on Friday July 12.

“Bellagio La Villa is without doubt one of grandest homes that you could desire in Australia, and it is of a quality and size that would befit elite buyers from almost anywhere in the world,” Ms Cole said.

“Given its location on the stunning Gold Coast and only 15 minutes from the beach and the airport, we are receiving interest from international buyers as well as locals.”

“The property offers the privacy and security that many high-net-worth individuals desire and yet it is within easy reach of everything that the Gold Coast has to offer.”

The European-influenced mansion has two levels, with custom-crafted decor, crystal chandeliers, bespoke and custom-built furniture, polished marble floors, soaring ornate detailed ceilings and seven-metre floor-to-ceiling windows.
