Located on the main street in Point Pass, about 25 minutes from the historic town of Kapunda, the property features a landmark rounded stone building. It sits on a 6,106sqm block.

According to the listing on realestate.com.au, the home became the “area’s pre-eminent retail establishment”.

“The C.F. Leditschke name was known from Loxton to Adelaide. In 1899, it added the Leditschke Butter Factory, and Cheese Factory from 1901. Milk was brought in from local farms, processed into products and distributed by horse-drawn drays.”

The current owners have painstakingly renovated the unique property while preserving much of the early architecture.

Apart from being an inviting country home, it was being run as a retreat until recently.

The main residence comprises three living areas and three bedrooms including a spacious master suite with an office, dressing room and dual ensuite bathrooms.

There are additional five guest bedrooms serviced by a bathroom, laundry and soaking tub room.

Selling agent CJ Setlhong of Century 21 Barossa, who is presenting the property to market, said the property had income earning potential.

“It’s quite a unique property and was run as a retreat for some time,” Mr Setlhong said.

“The location is perfect as a lot of people drive past the place coming from Victoria and NSW.

“It’s fully renovated and has potential to host a bed and breakfast business or as a getaway place.”
