Darlington home with design elements that delight
It’s not just the shape of this house which has caught buyer attention. It’s also the pool and lounge. See here for more.
A recent report on PropTrack data of the most popular search terms on realestate.com.au revealed that househunters were increasingly looking for a home that came with a pool.
And, if it’s a truly unique pool that could win buyers over, it’s the one housed in 41 Wayne Ave, Darlington.
The four-bedroom home, currently listed for sale for over $1m, has a triangular swimming pool that also perfectly complements the V-shape design of the home.
Highlighted as an “exciting property” that “brings a mid- century Californian style living to the high side of Darlington”, the home is set over two levels on 951sq m of land.
The architect-designed property has a versatile floorplan that includes two living areas, a cinema room, and a large galley-style kitchen.
But it’s also the circular sunken lounge in one of the living areas that has caught everyone’s attention.
According to Gypsy Black of Harcourts Packham who is presenting the property to market along with James Packham, buyers have been curious about the home’s unique design elements.
“Over the home’s campaign, we have seen people who are serious about securing the property to others keen to look at the sunken couch and the triangle pool in real life, come in for viewings,” Ms Black said.
“The sunken couch is a statement feature of the lounge. The owner is a professional artist and the home has a distinct artistic flair.
“The floorplan is the highlight with multiple bedrooms and a study that will suit most families.”
The home has been designed in such a way that the pool can be viewed from the living areas. All bedrooms have built-in robes and the master suite comes with an ensuite.
The architect-designed home has enough garaging space to fit up to five cars. For those keen to work from home, there’s a study and multiple spaces for a workshop.
Other features include a security system with multiple cameras, ducted reverse-cycle airconditioning and ceiling fans.
The home boasts proximity to Flinders University and the Marion shopping centre as well as reserves and parks in the area.
