One of the state’s most stunning homes, known for its jaw-dropping views and contemporary design, is officially off the market. Have you seen it from the inside?

The listings wowing buyers

Having featured in multiple ‘SA’s Best’ lists, this award-winning home needs little introduction.

Designed by Architects Ink and named after a plane tree on the property, ‘Plane Tree House’ at 11 Chapman Crescent, Glen Osmond has been described as a “supermodel of trophy homes”.

Known for its jaw-dropping views of the Adelaide skyline and stylish modern design, the home took out the prestigious John S Chappel Award for Residential Architecture – Houses (New) in 2015.

Just days since it went up for sale, the four-bedroom home has been snapped up by a local buyer but the final sale price hasn’t been disclosed.

The sought-after home was presented to market by Stephanie Williams and John Williams of Williams Luxury Real Estate.

According to CoreLogic data, the property last sold for $3,300,000 in January 2020.

“The home is an epitome of contemporary luxury like no other and a local Adelaide buyer has bought it,” Ms Williams said.

“We had multiple interested parties for the property. Someone wanted to take it off the market before the formal campaign and they succeeded,” she said.

The design of the home, inspired by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, was tailored to the step topography of the site.
