She’s just called time on her AFLW career and now outgoing Power captain and former Crows premiership player Erin Phillips is selling her West Lakes home.
Phillips built the 14a Driver Court, West Lakes home in 2019, with her, her wife Tracy Gahan and their three children Blake, Brooklyn and Drew moving in that December.
They’ve since brought another into the fold – five-month-old daughter London – making it a much-loved family home.
“It’s been a very special place and we have a lot of fun memories here,” Phillips said.
“We spent a lot of time here through lockdown, played a lot of games and kept each other company.”

The home overlooks the third green of the West Lakes Golf Club and, while Phillips doesn’t get much time to play a full round, she sneaks in a swing when she can.
The two-storey four-bedroom, three bathroom home offers 276.74sqm of indoor and outdoor living space and has a spacious open-plan kitchen, family and dining room that flows out to an alfresco entertainment area.
As much as it has been a wonderful home for her family, it’s also been a great place to share with others.
“Our house has always had an open-door policy with teammates, so we’ve had so many of them come through and have dinner here and Tracy and I have always welcomed teammates,” Phillips said.
The couple have since found another home in the area, where they are looking forward to making new memories with their children.
“The western suburbs is where I’ve grown up and where I’ll end up forever staying – I say forever, but you never know – but it’s definitely my side of town and the side that I’ve loved and I’ve grown up in, and I’ll definitely be here for as long as I can,” Phillips said.
Phillips initially signed as a cross-code rookie in the inaugural AFLW season and leaves an icon of the sport and the game’s most decorated player with three premierships, three All Australian selections, two club best and fairests and two AFLW best and fairest awards.
Having announced her retirement from the sport last month, Phillips said she is still not sure what the future will hold for her.
In the short term, at least, it’s Christmas in the United States.
“I’ve kind of always been on the go from one thing to another from one season to another so the biggest challenge for the next few weeks is going to be just to slow down and take a breath and decide what’s next,” she said.
“For now I’m really happy to spend time with the kids and Tracy and enjoy some time off.
“I think I’ll definitely stay involved in footy, it’s still something I’m still passionate about, but I’m not 100 per cent clear in what capacity.
“I’ve got four beautiful kids, so that’s a full-time job in itself.”
The home goes to auction on Saturday, December 2 through Kate Smith and Steve Moffatt of Harcourts Smith and has been listed without a price guide.
