The winning numbers for tonight’s life-changing $20 million Powerball are 6, 7, 22, 33, 18, 28 and 1. The Powerball is 4.

No one managed to win tonight’s jackpot, however two lucky Aussies did manage to take home more than $211,000 each as part of the division two prize.

The division three prize of $257,911 will be shared among 53 winners.

This week’s draw is the third time Powerball has jackpotted to $20 million so far in 2021 after two players in Queensland and NSW took home $20 million in a January game.

A couple of weeks ago, a Mackay man walked away with an incredible $50 million division one Powerball prize, making him the third Powerball division one winner this year.

“I’m thinking about all the times I decided to quit smoking and now I need a cigarette to calm down!” he laughed when officials from The Lott confirmed the news.

“I had the ticket in my wallet since I bought it. I heard someone in Mackay had won but of course I never thought it could be me,” he said.

“I only buy a ticket every now and again but I’ve always thought there may only be a tiny chance of winning the big one, but you need to be in it to win it.”

When asked what he thought he might do with $50 million in his bank account, the Queenslander admitted he hadn’t ever contemplated the idea.

“I’ve never really given it much thought. I never thought I’d have to think about what to do with $50 million,” he laughed.

“I’ll still be showing up to work this week, but I don’t know if I will keep working,” he said.

“I’ll be taking care of my parents, I know that much at least. I will be making sure of that.

“Owning my own home would probably be the craziest thing I’ve ever thought about doing with a lottery win!”

The Lott’s Lauren Cooney said she was waiting to see if they’d be crowning Powerball’s fourth division one winner of the year tomorrow night.

“It was such a thrill to be able to break the news to the Mackay division one winner just a couple of weeks ago,” she said.

“As I am sure you can imagine, he was in a complete state of shock when I confirmed that he’d won $50 million.”
