Oz Lotto offers biggest prize in 2021 so far with a $30 million jackpot up for grabs
Last time the division one prize grew to this size, four lucky punters around Australia scored a cool $7.5 million.
A life-changing amount of money could transform someone’s year as Oz Lotto’s division one prize hits $30 million.
The last time it reached these heights it was won by four division one winning entries in 2020 who each took home $7.5 million.
The winners included a Wollongong retiree, who planned to embark on an Aussie adventure with their millions and a Victorian man, who declared despite winning $7.5 million he was still planning on going to work but would take his family out for a nice dinner to celebrate.
Another Victorian man in his 30s, was also a winner, and admitted he couldn’t help but scream “like a 10-year-old girl” when he checked his Oz Lotto ticket.
“The old lady beside me thought I was having a fit when I screamed like a 10-year-old girl. It’s unbelievable,” he said at the time. “I haven’t played for months, but last night I was sitting there and thought, ‘Bugger it, I’ll get a ticket.’ Multi-millionaire – that sounds nice. I hope I don’t have a heart attack before I get home.”
The other lucky punters were a Perth couple, who “had a feeling” they were the winners after hearing that someone from Perth had scored a $7.5 million OZ Lotto prize.
Bronwyn Spencer, spokeswoman for The Lott, said she would be standing by the phone for Tuesday night’s draw to deliver the news to any division one winners.
“When the jackpots soar we can’t wait to break the news to our latest winners, so if you hear your phone ringing Tuesday night and you have an entry in the draw make sure you answer it,” she said.
“You will have to be registered to get the phone call, so make sure when buying your entry you register it to a players card so we can call you with the exciting news.”
