Oz Lotto jackpots to $5 million with a chance to win life-changing amount of money
Someone could become a millionaire, quit work and spend the rest of the year on luxurious holidays around Australia.
Oz Lotto has jackpotted to $5 million for Tuesday night’s draw after no one scooped the top prize last week.
This is the third time a $5 million jackpot prize has been offered to Oz Lotto players this year. On both occasions, no one scored the division one prize and it climbed higher for the following week’s draw.
The last time someone scored $5 million in Oz Lotto was in December 2020, when one Western Australian player took home the lot.
With March almost crossed off the calendar, lottery officials are looking forward to seeing another important milestone marked off – the third Oz Lotto division one winner for 2021, The Lott’s Ally Ramsamy said.
“So far this year we have seen two Oz Lotto division one winners collectively taken home $60 million,” she said.
“Imagine how your plans for the year would change if you scored the huge $5 million division one prize?
“You could be spending the rest of the year scheduling holidays, making reservations for delicious fine-dining dinners, watching sporting events from the best seats and setting dates with a personal shopper.
In November 2020, a South Australian man in his 40s explained he never expected to receive a phone call telling him he’d won $2.4 million in Oz Lotto.
“I’m a little bit shocked and shaking, to be honest … It feels amazing to know that I’ll be a multi-millionaire,” he said at the time.
“The first thing I’ll do is pay off the home loan. It will be done and dusted. My partner and I run our own business, and we’ve been working extremely hard at the moment to get it going. This will make it just much easier and take the pressure off. It will be great to cut back down on work a little bit.”
