A very lucky Australian has scooped the $50 million jackpot in Tuesday’s Oz Lotto Draw 1494 — and they might not even know it yet.

The punter in Victoria will become the biggest lottery winner of 2022 after buying the only division one winning entry across the nation.

They purchased the ticket at a Tatts outlet in Casey, in Melbourne’s south east.

The winner was unregistered, meaning the ticketholder will have to come forward to claim their prize.

The winning numbers were 37, 42, 47, 39, 5, 17 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 29, 22 and 38.

“Imagine going to bed tonight not knowing you’ve just won $50 million in Oz Lotto,”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said.

“That’s the reality for one mystery Victorian after scoring division one in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw.

“While we’ve been unable to confirm the division one win with tonight’s winner, we can guarantee that when they check their ticket and discover their news, they’ll be jumping for joy.

“We’re encouraging everyone to check their entries because they might be the newly-minted multi-millionaire we’re searching for. If you think you’re holding this very valuable entry, give us a call on 131 868.

“In Victoria, people have 12 months to claim their prizes directly from us. After that time, the prize goes to the Victorian State Revenue Office and there is a process to collect it from there. So while there’s still plenty of time to claim the prize, the clock is ticking, so check your tickets.”

In addition to the sole division one win, there were a total of 778,643 prizes worth more than $18 million won in divisions two to seven in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw. Among those winners were 14 division two winners who each took home a $47,858.55 prize.
