Aussies can enter USA Power Lotto’s $589 million jackpot
Aussies have a chance to become the nation’s all-time biggest lottery winner after being given the opportunity to take part in USA Power Lotto’s huge jackpot prize.
Aussies have the opportunity to enter USA Power Lotto with a massive $589 million* up for grabs.
It will give one lucky punter the chance to be the country’s biggest ever lottery winner if they take out the huge jackpot on Thursday, June 22.
The $589 million prize has rolled over 26 times and Australian lottery provider The Lottery Office has given Aussies access to the mammoth draw.
Lottery Office CEO Jaclyn Wood said that when Australians purchase tickets in its lotteries, The Lottery Office purchases a matching ticket in the overseas draw.
“When our customers win, we pay them the exact amount of the winnings we collect from the overseas lottery ticket,” she said.
Australian owned and operated, The Lottery Office is the country’s ticket to the world’s largest official lotteries.
“We are passionate about enabling Australians to benefit from international lotteries, as these draws are often significantly larger on average than what you will find in a traditional Australian lottery,” Ms Wood said.
“Even second or third division prizes can be huge, especially if the player opts to play with The Lottery Office multiplier option. It can multiply non-Division One wins 10 times.”
Headquartered in the Northern Territory, The Lottery Office has brought international lotteries to Australian shores since 2003.
Ms Wood said that international lotteries had the potential to regularly pay out significantly more than their minimum jackpots.
“For example, the US Powerball, which is matched to our USA Power Lotto, has a minimum jackpot of AUD$25 million and holds the world record for the biggest prize ever at AUD$2.9 billion.” she said.
“We are holding a lot of hope the next big win could be an Aussie.”
USA Power Lotto closes Thursday June 22 at 10am AEST.
