Powerball to jackpot from $8 million
The $8 million Powerball jackpot has been drawn. Here are the numbers you needed to strike it big.
Powerball is set to jackpot from $8 million after no one took out the major prize.
The numbers you needed this week were 25, 14, 35, 26, 34, 11, 31 and the Powerball was 1.
In 2021, there were 14 Powerball division one wins that collectively took home more than $550 million in division one prize money.
Six of these division one winning entries landed in NSW, four in Queensland, two in Victoria and one in Western Australia.
Despite being less than three weeks into 2022, there has already been a division one Powerball winner.
Two weeks ago, a man from Queensland scored a life-changing $60 million prize.
The Brisbane man in his 30s revealed he still planned to go to work despite his mega win.
“Mate, this is bloody unreal,” the man told lottery officials when they delivered the news to him.
“I think anyone who gets hit with this info would think it’s surreal. It’s just unbelievable.
“There is a massive shock factor. You always daydream, but you never really expect it to happen. It’s a lottery after all.
“I know you’ve confirmed it, but initially, when I saw this on The Lott app I thought this has to be a gee up or a glitch in the system. Surely I haven’t just won $60 million,” he said.
“I don’t think I’m going to get a lot of sleep tonight.
On the initial phone call, the man was already formulating plans about what to do with his truckload of money.
