Lucky numbers from $3m Powerball jackpot

Powerball went back to base after a Victorian couple nabbed last week’s $60 million jackpot. Check the lucky numbers here.

Melbourne man who lost his job in Covid wins $80 million Powerball

Powerball will jackpot from its $3 million base after no one took out the big prize.

The winning numbers you needed this week were 14, 10, 29, 26, 9, 15, 23 and the Powerball was 3.

The last time $3 million was up for grabs in Powerball was in draw 1323 on last month. However, the division one prize wasn’t won in this draw and it jackpotted to $8 million before it was eventually won.

In fact, the $3 million base prize keeps jackpotting, so much so that the last time that amount was won was way back in 2018 by a Western Australian player.

So far in 2021 there have been 13 Powerball division one winning entries who have collectively won more than $470 million.

Last week, a South Melbourne dad won the $60 million fortune up for grabs.

The South Melbourne couple said learning they were newly-minted multi-millionaires was “fantastic news”.

“I am feeling amazing, we both are. It has been a very tough year for us – really horrible. But this changes everything,” the dad told The Lott.

“It’s a dream come true.

“We’ve been fantasising about this moment and now it’s here and we’re multi-millionaires. This changes everything for us. We feel very, very grateful. I love it! This feels like a dream.

“Today we will celebrate by getting some chocolate, flowers and coffee, and we’ll go out for a beautiful dinner tonight.

“I want to pay off the home loan and some debts we have.

“We’re looking at retiring, and of course we’ll help the kids. And we’ll have some good holidays, both interstate and overseas. We’ll definitely buy a new car and we’d love to eventually buy a new house.

“This is going to make things so much easier. It’s life-changing!”

Last week, news.com.au spoke to a Powerball winner who nabbed a $30 million windfall in 2020.

The Sydney tradie aged in his 30s said winning that much money wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.

“If you’re not happy, and you want to win the lottery (to change that) you’re going to be terribly mistaken,” he explained.

The man spoke to news.com.au on the condition of anonymity after some “weird” experiences when telling friends and family about his new millionaire status.

“People have come out of the woodwork,” he explained.

“A lot of people find out through the grape vine, they never actually ask you. I had someone that I haven’t even seen since I was school in, probably 15 years ago.”

One very close friendship soured because “they didn’t take it well” when he told them he was now a multi-millionaire.
