There’s $2 million up for grabs for anybody lucky enough to guess the correct numbers for the Tuesday night lottery draw.

After one NSW player scored $2 million in last week’s Oz Lotto draw, the jackpot is now back to base.

In 2021, there were 18 big winners that collectively took home more than $279 million in division one prize money.

Six of these wins were in Victoria, five in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

So far in 2022 there have been six entries that have scored division one wins in Oz Lotto.

These players have collectively taken home more than $78 million in prize money.

A NSW man received a warm hug from his employer after they checked his Oz Lotto ticket together and realised he’d won $2.3 million.

The Wollongong winner, from Port Kembla, laughed as a lottery official delivered the good news.

“A colleague called me and told me to check my ticket. He’d heard there had been a win in the area and said he had a good feeling about it,” he told The Lott.

“Once my boss and I saw that I had won, he gave me a huge hug.

“I called my sister straight away to tell her, and she said, ‘Yeah, okay mate, good joke, I guess April Fools’ Day has arrived early this year.’.

“It took a little while, but once she believed me, we both burst into tears.”

The Aussie bloke is still overwhelmed and is unsure what to do with the boatloads of cash he now has.

“This means so much to my family. We’re very close, and this will make a big difference for us,” he said.

“I’ve been playing lotteries for more than 32 years, and I still can’t fathom the fact that I’ve won.

“This win means we can finally make some home improvements, but who knows. I might just buy a new house.”
