Oz Lotto is set to jackpot after no one took out the division one prize.

The winning numbers this week were 5, 34, 3, 42, 39, 7, 36 and the two supplementaries were 2 and 1.

So far in 2021, 15 lottery players have taken home more than $20.71 million in division one prize money.

Five of these division one wins landed in Victoria, four in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Queensland and one in Northern Territory.

The last time a division one prize was snatched up was four weeks ago on November 2 when a Mackay mum scored $25 million.

“Are you serious?” the shocked North Queenslander exclaimed when an official from The Lott called her moments after the draw.

“Holy sh*t, this has got to be wrong!

“Oh my god. Honestly? This is crazy.

“This cannot be true. Oh my god. Are you sure it’s me? Really? Are you sure? Is this real?

“This is crazy. This is so cool!

“It was a last-minute decision to buy an entry. I cannot believe it.”

She explained she planned to spend the money on her family and an early retirement.

“This changes everything for everyone. I can’t wait to help my family. This is wonderful.

“And I’ve always said I would retire if I won the lottery – it looks like that’s what I’ll be doing!”

A survey from Oz Lotto past winners found the most popular thing to do with a large windfall was invest it for the future – which 63 per cent of survey respondents said they did.

The next most common way to spend the money was helping out family and friends, with 52 per cent of winners doing that.

Of the winners, 41 per cent paid off their mortgage with their new cash.

Then 36 per cent bought a new car, 25 per cent donated to charity and 23 per cent bought a new house.

Just 13 per cent retired from work while 5 per cent switched jobs or dropped down to part-time.

Only 3 per cent decided to take the plunge and start a new business venture.
