So far this year, Oz Lotto welcomed two division one winners – a Queenslander and West Australian who shared a $50 million jackpot in January.

In 2021, there were 18 Oz Lotto division one winning entries that collectively took home more than $279 million in prize money.

Six of these wins were in Victoria, five in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Queensland and one each in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

The last time a $10 million prize was snapped up was in August last year.

A Rosebery woman found herself suddenly contemplating a swift retirement when she scored an $11 million Oz Lotto win.

The eastern suburbs mum held the only division one winning entry on August 17.

While $10 million was the advertised jackpot for the draw, the high level of entries into the draw pushed the final jackpot to $11,002,697.57.

It took quite some time for an official from The Lott to convince the overwhelmed woman that she was now a multi-millionaire.

“Oh, you’re joking? You’re having me on?” she said.

“I’ve won $11 million? That is crazy. Oh my god. This can’t be real!

“That’s bizarre. Are you sure? Oh my god.”

The woman revealed what she planned to do with her instant fortune.

“I’ve been asking for financial freedom, and I can’t believe it’s happened. That’s wonderful. So wonderful! Thank you so much,” she continued.

“I do like my job. Maybe I will keep working, maybe I won’t. I don’t know!” she laughed.

“I’m probably going to resign very soon.

“I’ve always wanted my own home and to be able to provide for my family. I will certainly be able to do that now.

“A house is definitely at the very top of the wish list.

“Oh my god. I cannot believe this is happening.”
