THE Lotto $20 million Halloween Superdraw is less than 24 hours away.
Yet new research, conducted by Tatts Lotteries, revealed that people would be happier and able to realise their dreams with a lot less than a whopping $20 million.
The research, conducted by ReachTEL, surveyed almost 4000 people and the results showed that the vast majority would be most happy if they had a lottery win of $5 million or even less.
SUBURBS ACROSS AUSTRALIA THAT ARE LUCKIEST IN LOTTO
Yes, 75 per cent, said they were not greedy and that $5 million or less would be more enough to realise their dreams.
The research revealed that a windfall of between $10 million and $20 million on offer attracted only 15.1 per cent of the vote, and only nine per cent wanted a $50 million lottery win.
It was South Australians surveyed who wanted to win the biggest amount of money — 11.5 per cent dreamt of a $50 million prize. However in Victoria, 16.8 per cent said $10 million to $20 million could make their dreams come true, and a staggering 79.6 per cent Queenslanders were happy to share opting for $5 million or less.

The survey also revealed that any major win on Lotto would be accompanied by a scream of joy.
Tatts Lotteries spokeswoman Claire Taylor said she was not surprised that ‘screaming with delight’ was a popular choice, with many division one winners thrilled to discover their dream-come-true lotto winning news!
“Screaming certainly isn’t an unusual reaction at all to such life-changing news. In fact, winners generally tend to be lost for words so the first thing that escapes is a scream,” she laughed.
“So if you hear a scream from the neighbours place on the night of Halloween, you may just be living next to one of the nation’s newest Lotto winners rather than someone has seen a ghost!”
