1. SYDNEY — The Australian dollar has rebounded as its US counterpart slipped overnight following weak US labour market data. The local currency was trading at 73.61 US cents at 0635 AEDT on Tuesday, up from 73.08 US cents on Monday.

2. SYDNEY — Meanwhile, the Australian share market is set to open lower, after Wall Street stocks declined following a slide in oil prices. At 0700 AEDT on Tuesday, the local SPI 200 futures contract was down 22 points at 5,753 points.
