Dollar creeps up slightly against US

At 0635 AEDT on Tuesday, the Australian dollar was worth 76. 82 US cents, up from 76.78 US cents on Monday.
The US dipped 0.1 per cent against a basket of major currencies in the wake of falls in bond yields as political uncertainty remains ahead of the French presidential election and later polls in the Netherlands and Germany. But, the greenback was held in check by the lack of investors over the US Presidents Day public holiday.
