The four storey, six bedroom, five bathroom residence located on Frances St in Lidcombe is currently advertised on realestate.com.au for $2950 per week.
“Open the doors to a grand entrance where you are greeted by a marble sweeping staircase with curved glass and a custom made Swarovski crystal chandelier,” the advertisement reads.
“If you feel like some fresh air, ride the lift to an exclusive roof top to soak up the sun and admire panoramic views of the city skyline.”
The near-new house boasts a “13 car basement”, home theatre with massage chairs, temperature controlled floors, a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a colourful history.
“After 29 years, I’ve decided to leave the suburb of Lidcombe,” Mr Mehajer wrote on Instagram today.
“Born and raised in this street/suburb, I’ve decided to finally rent it out to one luck (sic) family.
“Did you know I designed, built and hand picked every single item in the house, from the screws that are the hinges to the light bulb luminosity.”
Mr Mehajer said there will be “no disclosure of where in Sydney (he’ll) be moving to” but then prompted his social media followers to “guess” the answer.
The announcement came as police today sought a fresh AVO against Mr Mehajer, on behalf of his estranged beautician wife Aysha.
Mr Mehajer, who has had two businesses placed under administration amid fears of insolvency, is said to have quietly filed for divorce despite recently insisting “only death and indeed god can do us apart.”
It’s a far cry from the image of a blossoming romance that he tried to lavishly portray just two years ago.
The millionaire property developer controversially closed down Frances St as part of his wedding celebrations to then-fiancee Aysha Learmonth in August 2015.
He attracted widespread criticism for the extravagant shindig which also involved the hiring of four helicopters, a jet, a sea plane and a motorcade of luxury sports cars and motorcycles.
He later came under fire again when a video he filmed of himself threatening and verbally abusing Aysha was released to the media.
While Mr Mehajer slammed A Current Affair for airing the footage, he has not generally been opposed to media attention, having personally sought it out on several occasions.
In 2015, his residence was featured in an international music clip after a chance meeting between Mr Mehajer and US rap artist Bow Wow. The encounter led to the video for the star’s single Too Real being shot at former Auburn mayor’s Lidcombe mansion.
The track was a collaboration with Australian hip hop and RnBass producer DJ Willi, and featured beautiful women on the marble staircase inside the home.
It was reportedly Mr Mehajer’s white Ferrari that brought him and Bow Wow into contact after the DJ’s entourage started making inquiries about the hire of an “exotic car” for the video.
“We wanted to get an exotic car into the video and he (Mehajer) offered and asked if we wanted to come to the house and use it for the clip too,” DJ Willi said at the time.
