Woolworths’ Disney Plus Ooshie collection: Campaign to launch in Victoria

Victorians will finally be able to get their hands on Woolworth’s new Disney Plus Ooshie collection as the state slowly eases coronavirus restrictions.
Shoppers will be able to start their collections from Wednesday. They have six weeks, or until stocks run out, to get their hands on all 36 figurines which come from the Marvel, Star Wars, Disney and Pixar universes.
Customers will receive one Ooshie for every $30 spent in store or online.
“We know many of our customers in Victoria have been waiting patiently for the arrival of Woolworths’ Disney+ Ooshies and we’re thrilled to introduce them across the state from this Wednesday,” Woolworths Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Hicks said.
“Victorians have had an incredibly challenging year and we hope this collection helps bring some well deserved excitement and magic to their shop.”
The supermarket giant’s new range of Ooshies were launched across Australia on August 26. But the campaign was put on hold in Victoria, which has faced tough lockdown restrictions, to allow staff to focus on store operations and the safety of customers.
“I also want to thank our Victorian customers for their patience and understanding with the delay,” Mr Hicks said.
“The safety of our customers and team members is our number one priority through COVID-19. The delay in launching Disney+ Ooshies in the state allowed us to keep our focus on customer safety as the community adjusted to lockdown.
“We now believe we are in a better position to continue to prioritise keeping customers and team safe, while also launching the campaign.”
The Disney Plus Ooshie collection features fan favourites including Darth Vader, Elsa, Buzz Lightyear, Thor, Ariel, Yorda, Black Panther, and Moana among others.

The collection includes silver, gold, colour changing, glow in the dark, additional glitter editions, and ultra rare furry Thor and The Child Disney Plus Ooshies.
Until January 31, Woolworths customers will also have access to dedicated Ooshie recycling bins to dispose of any unwanted characters, and wrappers — which can also be recycled at home in the yellow bin.
