The best April Fool’s Day pranks this year
There have been a wild selection of April Fool’s Day pranks so far, but one disgusting idea takes the prize for the most out-there idea.
After the crazy events of the past year we all need a good laugh, and many companies are trying to put a smile on our faces with their April Fool’s Day pranks.
Here are some of the best ones so far.
Dare and Vegemite
Two Aussie icons have united to come up with this monstrosity of an product. Dubbing it the “coffee that tastes like Australia” — Dare coffee and Vegemite have created a joke drink combining the two flavours.
This is surely the most feral idea for a product since two Sydney hipsters fused sushi and pizza together.
Jimmy Brings
Alcohol delivery service Jimmy Brings has today announced Aussies will soon have the option to add a little punch to their tea with their new alcoholic tea bag range ‘Booze Brew’.
“Tea flavours, which will be available exclusively through the Jimmy Brings app, include a variety of takes on traditional cocktail favourites such as Dirty Daiquiri, Sparkling Jimmarita, Spritz Blitz and more,” the company said in press release.
Sydney Trains
Commuters making their way to work in Sydney were asked to be on the lookout for a horse running wild on the train network.

Boost Juice
Boost Juice caused fury by announcing that their iconic Mango Magic smoothie would no longer be available.
Deliveroo
Deliveroo tried to pull the wool over our eyes, saying they had a technological breakthrough which gives pets the ability to order food for their owners.
Burger King
Overseas, Burger King announced they’d be putting everything on sourdough — even their milkshakes.
Chobani
Chobani Australia announced the release of a chilled face mask range made with yoghurt and rich in active ingredients that help naturally exfoliate and moisturise the skin.

Volkswagen
Volkswagen of America “accidentally” posted a press release on its website announcing it would change its name to Voltswagen to promote its push into electric vehicles.
We know, 66 is an unusual age to change your name, but weâve always been young at heart. Introducing Voltswagen. Similar to Volkswagen, but with a renewed focus on electric driving. Starting with our all-new, all-electric SUV the ID.4 - available today. #Voltswagen#ID4pic.twitter.com/pKQKlZDCQ7

South Australia tourism advert
A racy new tourism campaign for South Australia — which invites Aussies to “go down south with your mouth” against a crimson-tinted image of a vineyard — is being met with disbelief and suspicion that it may be an April Fool’s prank.
