‘On-the-spot’: Bottle-O’s massive job spree

An Aussie liquor giant has thousands of new jobs to fill – and getting recruited doesn’t get much easier than this.

It’s ‘hiring week’ for Australian bottle shop giant Dan Murphy’s with the occasion marked by a 2200-job recruitment spree.

Until Sunday, September 11, jobseekers can interview on-the-spot for one of the thousands of positions available across the country by simply stepping into one of the company’s 258 Australian stores and chatting with a team member.

There are jobs available in every store across the country.

2200 jobs are currently up for grabs at Dan Murphy's this ‘hiring week’.

Dan Murphy’s incoming managing director Agi Pfeiffer-Smith said the move was about making the application process easier for applicants.

“We wanted to make it as easy as possible for people who are interested in a career with Dan Murphy’s to get a foot in the door,” she said.

According to Dan Murphy’s, the company is looking to “gear up” for summer, its busiest time of the year.

The casual customer assistant roles offer a minimum of 20 hours per week – many with immediate start times.

“Every single Dan Murphy’s store is hiring, so just come as you are and our commitment to every applicant is that we will give you a short interview on the spot,” Ms Pfeiffer-Smith said.

Applicants need to be over 18 and have an “extraordinary passion for customer service”.

Dam Murphy‘s have offered paid-for RSA training for the right applicants.
