Myer Brisbane’s massive closing down sale
A massive department store is now offering customers even more discounts as it prepares to shut its doors for good.
A huge Myer store in the centre of a major city says it will offer customers a once-in-a-lifetime sale as it prepares to shut its doors for good.
Myer’s Brisbane CBD location will hold an unprecedented sale this weekend, with items marked down by a further 30 per cent on top of their already discounted prices.
The sale is a way of saying thank you to Brisbane locals who have continued to shop there for more than three decades according to the store’s manager Lee Dougan.
“After 35 years of serving our loyal customers at our Queen St store, to say thank you to them we are clearing all stock with rare savings on huge brands that you just won’t see anywhere else,” he said.
“So in the lead-up to the end of the July, make sure you get into store to take advantage of offers that simply won’t be repeated anywhere else and that are only while stocks last.”
He also flagged that other offers would be made to customers before the store closed for good.
The store’s flagship location will be shuttered on July 31 after it was unable to reach “appropriate and reasonable commercial terms” with its landlord in the centre of the Brisbane CBD.
Myer has not managed to find an alternative location for the store and are continuing to look for an alternative site.
Myer’s other Brisbane stores in Indooroopilly, Chermside, Carindale and Mt Gravatt will continue to operate as normal.
