Millions of Woolies customers have been affected by a delay to one of the grocery giant’s most popular online services.

Shoppers took to social media to complain that the weekly online catalogue had not been updated hours after its usual publish time.

The catalogue of special items is routinely updated every Monday and lists items available on discounted prices from Wednesday through to Tuesday.

But this week’s catalogue was not updated on the turnover, leading to some eagle-eyed customers who noticed the delay to directly complain to the grocery giant after 16 hours of silence.

“What’s up with the 5pm catalogue upload today? Someone forgot to click a button. First time it’s been missed in quite some time,” one user posted to X - formerly Twitter - on Monday night.

The company confirmed the new Weekly Specials catalogue had since been uploaded and was online by Tuesday afternoon.

A Woolworths spokeswoman did not reveal the source of the delay, instead stating: “There was a delay but the issue has been resolved and the catalogue is up.”
