TWO families have been filmed brawling over cheap outdoor furniture at an Aldi in Melbourne, with the manager forced to step in.
IT’S a not-so-Happy Father’s Day weekend.
Two families have been filmed brawling over discounted garden furniture at an Aldi in Melbourne, Victoria.
Moments after doors opened at the Plenty Valley store on Saturday morning, shopper Maria filmed consumers running to the outdoor section.

She said two families began “pushing and shoving” each other over the $349 corner wicker lounge setting.
“There was a lot of swearing and they were saying: ‘I was here first, it’s mine’,” the woman told 7 News Online.
The video showed the families pushing each other and arguing over who got to the shop first.
“I was here at seven, on my own,” one woman yelled, as other shoppers tried to “calm down” the brawlers.
Maria said the families didn’t seem to know there were extra sets of the outdoor lounges at the back of the store, with other shoppers wheeling their trolleys over to get them.
The melee only ended when the store’s manager told the families they’d have to leave if they kept fighting.
It comes after a NSW dad told of his terror when a $99 microwave he recently bought at Aldi exploded as his one-year-old daughter stood below.
