BURGER-LOVING Brits are not lovin’ a McDonald’s in England that underwent a trashy makeover — that makes it look vandalised.

Residents of Redhill, about two hours south of London, say the “ghetto” design leaves a bad taste in their mouths.

“How insulting to all the decent people out there. What an absolute disgrace — get rid of it,” Rachel Karn told the Surrey Mirror. “Don’t they realise it sends a message that graffiti is somehow OK?”

“The design is awful. Me and my friend thought the wallpaper was stripped off!” griped Fi Godfrey. “You’ve took most of the seating away — great for us parents with no lift! The food is served one by one which means we wait ages, what a waste of money!”

Mat Frost added, “Street art and graffiti can be amazing — sadly this isn’t it.”

“It makes no sense,” he said. “There are no words just letters and no pictures, just awful. Seating downstairs is non-existent, pads/screens are awful.”

In response to the outrage, a spokesman for the McDonald’s said: “We were surprised to hear this feedback, as the restaurant team have received many compliments about the recent refurbishment. These refreshed designs have been used across the UK and have been very well-received.”
