Jamba juice Australia launch brings competition to Boost Juice
The highly anticipated arrival of Jamba juice is set to bring a fresh wave of smoothies to Aussies and healthy competition for Boost Juice.
Australia’s smoothie scene is about to get a whirlwind makeover as global juice sensation Jamba enters the Australian market.
After much anticipation, Jamba, formerly known as Jamba Juice, will be introducing a range of freshly blended fruit and veggie smoothies and much more to health-conscious Aussies.
Jamba is dedicated to providing real, high-quality ingredients and tasty choices to meet the needs of wellness enthusiasts across Australia, the press release states.
The very first Jamba store in Australia, located in Melbourne, is all set to serve up an array of Whirl’d famous smoothies in four categories: Classics, Greens, Power, and Indulgent.
Their menu also features fresh bowls and parfaits.
Some of the biggest hits on the menu include:
1. Mango-a-Go-Go: A tropical blend of mangoes, pineapple juice, yoghurt, bananas, oats, and ice.
2. Strawberries Wild: A berry bonanza with strawberries, apple juice, yoghurt, bananas, oats, and ice.
3. Açaí Primo: An açaí delight with coconut, soy, strawberries, blueberries, apple juice, yoghurt, açaí blend, bananas, oats, ice, organic granola, and honey.
As of March this year, Jamba had nearly 800 retail locations operating in 34 US states, as well as the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, and Thailand.
Australia is no stranger to the concept of fresh and healthy juices, thanks to the presence of homegrown brand Boost Juice.
Boost Juice’s roots trace back to the very heart of Australia, with its inaugural store opening in Adelaide in the year 2000, following an inspired US trip in 1999 by company founder Janine Allis, nine years after the first Jamba store opened.
Since launching Boost Juice, the franchise company has become a household name across the country, offering a wide range of smoothies and fresh juices that resonate with health-conscious consumers.
Boost Juice has 370 stores throughout Australia, with NSW taking the lion’s share with a whopping 116 locations, comprising about 31 per cent of all Boost Juice outlets in the country.

Jamba’s Australian venture is made possible through franchisee Newford QSR Group, a trusted name in the food and beverage industry in Queensland.
Australia’s first-ever Jamba is slated to open in Melbourne Central in mid to late November 2023, with a second store on the Sunshine Coast set to open in the same month.
With Newford QSR Group also known for bringing the aromatic delights of Cinnabon to Queensland residents, Danny Cheung, managing director, is enthusiastic about the Jamba experience.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to bring the people of Australia a one-of-a-kind experience with our smoothies, juices, bites, iced delights, and mouth-watering bowls,” he said.
