Shoppers have made quick work of clearing shelves at NSW retailer Ten Tops where every product is $10 or less. This is what they are buying.

Which major retailers are open during Sydney's lockdown?

An Australian discount superstore selling nothing for more than $10 has offered unique insight into what its bargain hunting customers can’t get enough of.

The inside of new NSW retailer Ten Tops has been compared to Aldi’s “middle aisle of shame” but better, with everything, including toilet paper, on sale for less than $10.

Items that normally retail for much higher prices across categories including pet care, grocery, health and beauty, cleaning, automotive, party supplies, confectionery, tools, kids toys and homewares, can be found for an absolute steal.

Shoppers have developed a particular taste for a few specific product lines however, clearing them out within a matter of days.

Among the hot ticket items are packs of magic flames for $3, which creates colourful flames when tossed onto a fire.

Shoppers have also gone wild for bluetooth headphones and speakers, which they can get for the bargain price of $10.

Popular pop-it fidget toys priced at just $4 have flown off shelves, much like 24 packs of Cornetto Unicorn ice creams sold for $10, saving customers $62.

Consumers have been stocking up big time on sweet treats, with whopper 42-packs of Cadbury marble chocolate blocks flying out the door for $10.

A Ten Tops spokesperson said the low price saved shoppers a huge $76.94.

Similarly, customers have been saving heaps on their Cadbury Time Out chocolate cravings, leaving barely any of the $10 40-packs behind.

Where are the Ten Tops stores located?

So far there are Ten Tops stores in Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and Fyshwick in Canberra, but consumers elsewhere will soon get a chance to partake in the fun.

A store is set to open in a matter of months for people in Richmond, in the NSW Hawkesbury region, while one in Nowra, on the NSW south coast, is a matter of weeks away.

The spokesperson teased that more stores were going to open further down the track, but remained tight lipped on clues where they would be established.
