Ikea recreates famous lounge rooms from television history
Ikea have recreated some of the most famous lounge rooms in television history using only its products and the results are amazing.
In an ode to some of the more famous images from television history, Ikea has recreated the lounge rooms from popular shows in its new catalogue.
The commercial campaign in the United Arab Emirates from the global furniture retailer has crafted rooms from The Simpsons, Friends and Stranger Things only using Ikea products.
And the results are impressive.
The “Ikea Real Life” campaign tracked down all of the individual items already being sold by the retailer.
Software was then used to design the rooms, giving them a 3-D look and feel.
“The Ikea team worked closely with the creatives for months,” Ikea Middle East regional general manager Vinod Jayan said.
“They went through hundreds of items to find the perfect pieces that would bring those iconic rooms to life.
“It was a great collaborative effort that led up to a stunning result.
“A true testament of what Ikea represents: a place where everyone can bring whatever idea they see or have to life.”
On the company’s site, products from each room are detailed so shoppers can see exactly what was used to mimic the rooms from their favourite lounge rooms.
Ikea stores will be designed in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman to feature the famous sets.
