The sale that stops a nation is here again. Here’s how you can pick up a $2 hair straightener and other crazy deals just in time for Christmas.

Click Frenzy fail

Fancy picking up a $2 GHD hair straightener for less than a cup of coffee?

The latest Click Frenzy online shopping event — known as “the sale that stops the nation” — kicks off at 7pm AEDT tonight, with a number of 99 per cent off deals on offer.

The sale will feature over 4000 deals across categories such as travel, fashion, electrical, homewares and accessories.

• Australia’s billion-dollar rort

• City making homeowners rich

• ‘Risky move’ a million-dollar business

More than 500 Australian retailers will participate, including Myer, Webjet, Nike, Flight Centre, Optus, Sony, Adidas, ASOS, Dell, Cathay Pacific, Country Road, Woolworths, Cotton On, Mon Purse, Timberland, Seafolly and more.

The annual, 24-hour sale, which first launched in 2012, will also feature a range of special “Go Wild Treasure Hunt” deals off 99 per cent off.

This year, those deals will include a GHD Platinum Professional Styler for $2, Beats Headphones for $4, an Alexa Echo Dot 3rd Gen for $1 and a Nintendo Switch Console for $5.

The Go Wild deals will be available to subscribers only, who will be given access to exclusive deals via quiz questions while they shop.

Click Frenzy managing director Grant Arnott said the sale would be a great way to stock up on Christmas gifts.

“The interest from the Australian public continues to grow exponentially each year. We attracted a staggering 2.2m visitors last year and search interest was even bigger than Black Friday,” he said.

“We want to provide Australians with a one-stop shop for all of their necessities at a fraction of the price.

“Also, with research revealing that Australians were projected to spend a collective $11 billion on Christmas presents in 2017, with the average person spending $955, using sales like Click Frenzy can save consumers up to 99 per cent on their Christmas shopping.”

Mr Arnott said Click Frenzy had again partnered with Australia Post to ensure customers were given “flexible delivery choices”.

All shoppers will also be able to snap up a Dyson V6 Animal Extra Vacuum for $349 — a $200 saving from the original price.

There will also be 40 per cent off homewares and suitcases at Myer, 70 per cent of Sheridan linen, 70 per cent off FILA runners and 80 per cent off couches, coffee tables and chairs from North Hem.

This year, the first 200 shoppers to purchase goods on Click Frenzy to the value of $500 or more will receive a $100 Visa card.

Click Frenzy is also searching for Australia’s best online shopper via its “Ironshopper” competition, with a $50,000 cash prize up for grabs.
