Bunnings now accepting Afterpay payments

One of Australia’s most popular stores has announced a major change for its in-store customers in time for spring.

Zip Co responds to buy now, pay later regulation

Bunnings will now be accepting Afterpay payments in-store, the company has announced.

In a statement released on Monday, Bunnings – which has over 350 stores across the country – said it had teamed up with the pay service company for in-store payments only, however with no minimum spend attached.

Afterpay is a buy now, pay later service which allows customers to pay for items over four instalments without acquiring interest.

Country manager at Afterpay, Katrina Konstas, said “we hope this will allow even more Australians to enjoy their hobbies and their home projects”.

Users who miss payments are charged 25 per cent of the payment as a late fee, or $68, depending on whichever of the two costs is lowest.
