BIG W recalls water bottle in “back-to-school” packs after choking hazard concerns
PARENTS are being told to return a faulty water bottle sold in BIG W “back-to-school” packs across Australia due to a potential choking hazard.
PARENTS are being told to return a faulty water bottle sold in BIG W “back-to-school” packs across Australia due to a potential choking hazard.
The bottle is part of the four-piece Backpack bundle lunch set, which has been on the shelves since December 21 until January 20-21 this week.
“There is a risk the rubber top on the water bottle may become loose during use, which could result in it detaching from the bottle that could cause choking,” BIG W said in a statement on its website.
The Big W water bottles are being recalled with the following numbers that can be found on the tag at the back of the backpack.

The statement also said: “Customers should immediately cease using the water bottle and return it to any BIG W store for a refund. All other components of the backpack bundle are not affected by the recall and can continue to be used.”
